Quinyx is AI-Driven Workforce Management solution that empowers the workforce in service industries to make people and businesses grow. Quinyx purpose is to improve life of its users, but despite hearing grand goals from stakeholders, we discovered through continuous interviews with our users that the majority of them just wanted the app to function properly, so they can get their s**t done and go home to spend time with their friends and family. So our path to changing the world started by improving someone’s day. Our mission as a team dedicated to employee experience was to prioritize practicality over revolution.
Back in the days Quinyx app consisted of a few modules so each potential client could mold their own experience that will fit their needs perfectly. Having the flat information architecture made sense initially. It was the easiest and the cheapest way for implementation, as well as the maintenance. But with the product growing and number of modules increasing it started being more and more challenging to keep up. So having a linear IA became unsustainable from a UX perspective.
With Quinyx Mobile App being already mature product with hundreds of thousands of everyday users the main challenge was to balance the need for change with the need to maintain existing systems and user habits.
